OUT OF CLASS ASSIGNMENT #2: Gardner’s Multiple Intelligences
Due: 3/30/2016 by 11:59pm

Your assignment is to complete the online survey to determine what are your primary intelligences and write a summary/reaction paper to the results.
Directions:
1. Go to: https://www.bgfl.org/bgfl/custom/resources_ftp/client_ftp/ks3/ict/multiple_int/index.htm
2. Click the link “Take the test”
3. Answer the 40 questions included in the survey and save/screenshot/print/scan the results (large colorful pie chart). You need to include this pie chart with your paper submission in the D2L Dropbox.
4. Traditionally, people have defined someone who is intelligent as an individual who can solve problems, use logic to answer questions, and think critically. But Psychologist Howard Gardner has a much broader definition of intelligence. Compare the traditional idea about intelligence with Gardner’s. How have his ideas changed the way we assess the strengths and weaknesses of people? In addition to providing the historical perspective, type a summary of your results including a description of your primary intelligence(s) and a reaction to the results (i.e. Is this what you expected? What surprises came up you’re your results? What did you find most interesting about the results?) In addition, include supporting research regarding the strengths of your primary intelligence (career, special interests, relationship compatibility, etc). Attach your results chart to your paper and submit via D2L.
5. Your summary/reaction paper should be written using APA style formatting. A minimum of 1-2 references are required for full credit. Assignments are due on 03/31/2016 via the D2L Dropbox. Late Penalties are applied as outlined in the course syllabus.
